We reached a campsite in Saint Cybranet which would be our home for the next 4 nights.
On Colin & Julia’s strong recommendation, we visited the gorgeous riverside village of La Roque-Gageac. The Dordogne is peppered with stunning chateaux, charming stone houses, and troglodyte homes in the rock.

Spot the troglodyte homes in the cliffs.
Michelle ticked an item off her bucket list. She was desperate to try SUP-ing (Stand-Up Paddle boarding). Ronnie agreed to join her, even though he preferred supping the local wine. Image paddling along the river with views of those stunning villages.

Next stop was Beynac-et-Cazenac.

On Ronnie’s bucket list is to wear a suit of armour. Close but no cookie.

We took a day trip to the lovely town of Sarlat-la-Canéda.

Menu of the day with some of the local delicacies:

Next stop was Domme, with its impressive castle and Knights Templar history.

Time to head towards Burgundy…
