Despite the Baboons running across the road in front of us we made it from the airport to our hotel in Windhoek where we will meet the G Adventures Tour group tomorrow.
I saw an advert for Ostrich riding in Namibia which sounds fun. Michelle isn’t prepared to lift my dangerous sports ban after tearing a tendon playing football in Peru last year though.
Tried the local “Windhoek” beer. I expected it to be inspired by Germans who previously controlled Namibia but unfortunately I think it was inspired by Tennents instead.
Our first meal in Namibia is fish from Dundee. 😉
There is a showground behind the hotel where Namibia’s answer to the Royal Highland Show was just finishing. They laid on a fireworks show for us which we enjoyed from the beer garden in the hotel. We also watched the Namibian Ground Squirrels playing.
