We routed home via Singapore. Unfortunately, even with a 6 hour stopover, we still didn’t have time for the free city tour. 🙁
So we paid our way into a lounge for drinks instead! For airports though, it’s very nice. They have gardens inside…

… and you can go outside to the “Sunflower Garden”, even without going through immigration. Even though technically we’re airside, since we’re outside I think it counts as another country to tick off our list!

Did you know that sunflowers are “composite” flowers. Viewed under a microscope, apparently they’re composed of multiple smaller flowers.

One for the airport’s marketing team?

When in Singapore (well arguably)… So we had to have a “Singapore Sling”. Not knowing the Singapore dollar exchange rate, we realised later we paid £30 for the privilege. Still, at least we’ll sleep on the flight!

Now for the 14 hour flight to Heathrow, then on to Edinburgh.
