The next installment of our Gap Year travels begins on 2 Jan (2020) – Michelle’s birthday. We start in Colombia in Bogota. The focus will be on brown powder (coffee) rather than white. In Colombia we’re joining a G Adventures small group tour. Then we do indie backpacking in Panama, Costa Rica (where we rent a car), Guatemala, then join another G Adventures tour for Guatemala and Belize, finishing in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We fly home from Cancun on 3 March. We decided to skip Nicaragua and Honduras as the Foreign Office really doesn’t recommend them.
