Since our travelling has been stalled by COVID-19, we decided to take a staycation in Scotland. We have decided to treat it just like our foreign travels, hence the blog posts etc.
We’re hiring a campervan and heading to the West Coast and islands for 10 days. We’re going to start by driving up to Ullapool and catching the ferry to the isle of Lewis / Harris. After that we’ll just follow our noses. We may travel down the Outer Hebrides island chain (ferry availability permitting!), or maybe up the north west mainland. The north west is now part of the extremely successful NC500 route, so that may be too busy for us with all of the UK staycationers.
